On April 29, iftar was held, organized by the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yousef Mustafa Abdelghani.
At the iftar, within the framework of a working dinner in honor of the Holy month of Ramadan, the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for development of interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Ambassador of Jordan.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev spoke about the activities of the Center in promoting the dialogue of cultures, religions and civilizations in the international arena, the holding of the 19th meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress this year, the Center's events in honor of the 30th anniversary of the upcoming VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in 2022.
Bulat Sarsenbayev especially noted that over the years of cooperation, Kazakhstan and Jordan have built trusting and friendly relations. The Kazakhstani side remembers and highly appreciates the participation of King Abdullah II of Jordan at the V Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

Expressing hope for further cooperation on strengthening global interfaith harmony, Ambassador of Jordan to Kazakhstan Yousef Mustafa Abdelghani emphasized the invaluable role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy N. Nazarbayev, as well as Head of State K. Tokayev in strengthening interfaith and interethnic harmony in the world.
In addition, the parties also discussed the organizational and substantive aspects of preparing a working visit of the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev to Amman and Ramallah in July this year. In particular, they touched upon the issues planned during the visit, the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Nazarbayev Center and the The Royal Institute for Inter-faith Studies, aimed at strengthening interfaith harmony, popularizing the goals and objectives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions at the international level. This partnership will certainly give a new impetus to the development of relations with the Jordanian side and open up new opportunities for cooperation with Palestine.
