INFORMATION ON THE XXII MEETING OF THE SECRETARIAT OF THE CONGRESS OF LEADERS OF WORLD AND TRADITIONAL RELIGIONS
- The XXII meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions is held in Astana on 8 October. It is attended by representatives of world and traditional religions, as well as heads of a number of authoritative international organizations.
- The Secretariat meeting is attended by about 30 religious leaders and heads of international organizations from 20 countries, including Azerbaijan, Vatican, Great Britain, Egypt, Israel, India, Iran, Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia, Mongolia, UAE, Pakistan, Portugal, Korea, Russia, Qatar, Thailand, Switzerland, Japan, as well as Kazakhstan. In addition, leaders of Kazakhstan's religious associations representing Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Lutheranism and Judaism take part in the work of the Secretariat.
- The peculiarity of the XXII Secretariat is that on its platform for the first time will be discussed the issues related to the progress of promotion of the Concept of Development of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033, as well as the organization of the first Forum of Young Religious Leaders.
- To promote the development of opportunities of spiritual diplomacy, the Regulation on the status of Goodwill Ambassadors of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was adopted, and high persons were appointed to this position.
- One of the priority missions of the XXII Secretariat is to determine the date and central theme of the plenary session of the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and the topics of its panel sessions, which will be held in autumn 2025.
