On 16 April 2012, the first meeting of Chairman of the Agency for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Lama Sharif with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Esengul Omuraliev took place.
During the meeting, Kairat Lama Sharif congratulated Esengul Omuraliev with his appointment to the position of Ambassador and wished him success in the diplomatic service in Kazakhstan.
Besides, the Chairman of the Agency informed the interlocutor on preparations to the IV Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on 30-31 May in Astana. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Esengul Omuraliev, in turn, confirmed participation of Supreme Mufti of Kyrgyzstan Chubak kazhi Zhalilov, Director of an independent think tank “Religion, Law and Politics” Kadyr Malikov and public figure Ishenbai Abdrazakov, in the Congress.
