Between February 28 and March 8, Zaure Malgarayeva, Director of the Department for Analysis and Monitoring of the Religious Situation at the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue (ICIID), and Chief Department Expert Zamira Abisheva conducted a working visit to Almaty to study the city's religious climate.
During the visit, they led expert interviews with Mr. Nurlan Kikimov, Head of the Almaty City Department for Religious Affairs, Dulat Ibragimov, Director of the Center for Religious Studies, and other leading specialists in the field.
Additionally, the team met with representatives of religious communities and visited local places of worship.
