President of the Republic of Kazakhstan released an order to establish State Commission to prepare and hold VI Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held on October 10-11, 2018 in Astana.
Leaders of world and traditional religions, heads of states and international organizations, prominent politicians and scientists are expected to attend the forum. The main theme of the forum is: "Religious leaders for a safe world". Panel sessions will focus on pressing international issues.
Also on the agenda is to present Astana International Award for Interfaith Dialogue and the Medal of Honor of the Congress to prominent religious and political figures.
