Ceremonial meetings dedicated to Republic Day were held within the walls of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev and Chief of Staff of the Senate Maksim Spotkai congratulated the staff of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue on the national holiday and expressed gratitude for their contribution to organizing and holding the VIII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on September 17–18, 2025, in Astana, as well as for advancing the ideas of this unique interreligious platform.
During the ceremony, the Center’s employees received state awards, certificates of honor, and letters of appreciation on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament, and the Chief of Staff of the Senate.
The Senate leadership commended the high professionalism of the Center’s team, emphasizing that the successful organization of such a large-scale international forum was made possible through the coordinated work of all involved government agencies and organizations, the established authority of the Congress, and effective cooperation with international partners.
The leadership also highlighted the significant role of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue in promoting the ideas and resolutions of the Congress aimed at strengthening peace, interreligious harmony, and spiritual diplomacy – an important contribution of Kazakhstan to the global dialogue of civilizations.
