Seminar for media representatives and bloggers was held at the N.Nazarbayev Center

On August 1 of this year, the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue held a training seminar for representatives of the media and bloggers on the specifics of covering religious topics: "Features of information work in covering issues of a religious nature."

Speaking with a welcoming speech, Chairman of the Management Board Bulat Sarsenbayev noted that in order to strengthen the positive image of the country and increase the recognition of the global platform for interreligious dialogue, it is now especially important to support journalists and bloggers, in broad information support of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and its institutions.

In addition, B. Sarsenbayev stressed the importance of preparing for the XXI anniversary Secretariat of the Congress, which will be held on October 10-11 this year.

Speakers at the seminar were: Zh.Deliev - Head of the Department for the Coordination of the Prevention of Religious Extremism in the Internet Space of the Ministry of information and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic: "Main information priorities and principles in the field of religion", S.Alimkulova – Senior expert of the Analytical Department of the Center on the topic: "Peculiarities of the use of religious terms in the media coverage of the religious sphere", A.Beisembi - journalist of the Center for the Study of Religions on the topic: "The specificity of the dissemination of religious information in the media".

The event was attended by bloggers and journalists of the leading TV channels "Qazaqstan", "Khabar", "Elarna", the newspaper "Egemen Kazakhstan", news sites "Massaget", "Toppress", "Taunews", representatives of the information service of the Catholic Church and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates.
