On March 1-3, as part of a working trip to Almaty, Chairman of the Management Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue B.Sarsenbayev lectured on the results of the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and its Declaration for students, undergraduates, PHD doctoral students of the Nur-Mubarak University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The purpose of the events is to inform to the audience the key messages of a unique dialogue platform – the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and the final Declaration.
During the lecture, Chairman of the Management Board B.Sarsenbayev briefed students and teachers with the Kazakh model of peaceful coexistence, building a tolerant society and interfaith dialogue, informed about the results of the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, emphasizing its special role in promoting the ideas of peace and harmony in the international arena: "The peacemaking stratagem and the position of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its high responsibility for the processes on the world stage rightfully get its deserved recognition and respect at the international level as a global international center for intercivilizational and interreligious dialogue" Bulat Sarsenbayev said.
The importance of promote tolerance among the younger generation, which is formed through science and quality education.
Lectures on the Congress will be held in Astana - at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nazarbayev University, in Turkistan - at the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Karaganda Buketov University.
In addition, during the working trip, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Center held a number of bilateral meetings with the Rector of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture "Nur-Mubarak" Mohamad el Shahhat el Gendi , Vice-Rector of the University, member of the Board of Directors of the N.Nazarbayev Center K.Kurmanbayev, Advisor to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt on Religious Affairs, Professor of Al-Azhar University Sheikh Usama Al-Sayed Al-Azhari, Director of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch.Valikhanov (IIE) Z. Kabyldinov, Head of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Akimat of Almaty N.Kikimov, Head of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Seitbekov, Director General of the R. B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan D.Masimkhanuly.
Following the meetings, an agreement negotiated on further cooperation in the field of interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue.
In particular, the N.Nazarbayev Center and the R. B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The parties intend to cooperate in the implementation of joint information and image projects to popularize the ideas of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, scientific projects, expand academic mobility of researchers, scientists and employees of the two organizations, exchange analytical materials and publications, hold thematic seminars, conferences, round tables and other events of mutual interest.
In general, the above-mentioned events are aimed at promoting the ideas of the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on the formation of respect for religions and cultures of different peoples of the world, assistance in strengthening interfaith dialogue.
