B. Sarsenbayev met with Canada’s Special Envoy for EU and Europe

26 November, 2022 Chairman of the Management Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Special Envoy of the Canadian Prime Minister for EU and Europe, Canadian Ambassador to France Stéphane Dion, Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan Alan Hamson, Counsellor of the Special Envoy of the Canadian Prime Minister for EU and Europe Jenna Martinuzzi.

During the meeting, B. Sarsenbayev noted the high level of political relations between Kazakhstan and Canada, stressing that the two states are developing a friendly and mutually beneficial partnership in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres. He also added that Kazakhstan highly appreciates the multifaceted cooperation with Canada based on strong ties of friendship, common values and mutual support, and as the Commissioner for the promotion of the goals and objectives of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions informed about results of the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and the main principles of the declaration.

In turn, the representatives of the delegation highly appreciated Kazakhstan's experience to promoting intercultural and intercivilizational dialogue. The parties also discussed the possibility of participation of representatives of Canada in the work of the Secretariat and the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

At the end of the meeting, a tour of the Museum of Peace and Harmony was organized for the delegation from Canada.
