On March 17, 2022 the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue together with the Public Association "Union of Artists of Astana" an exhibition on the theme: "History and Culture of the Great Steppe".
The purpose of the exhibition is to help strengthen intercultural and interreligious dialogue, promote the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the principles of tolerance, as well as spiritual and moral values in kazakh society.
The exposition of the exhibition was represented by paintings by famous artists: U. Ismailov, G. Zhurkabayeva, E. Aituarov, M.Baitenov, T.Batanov, B.Aripov, I.Achilov, D.Nuger, S.Ermekov, Zh.Kayrat, A.Syrgabayev, A.Bayandin, S.Yskakbek, N.Kaben, Zh.Suleimenova, N.Kikimova, A.Kadyrbaeva, M.Baishuakova, V.Li, M.Bakytzhan, K.Baymukhanova, A.Alpysbaeva, L. Aituarova.
In their works, the artists reflected the life, way of life, culture, art, traditions and customs of different peoples, the beauty and grandeur of nature, the onset of the spring holiday - Nauryz, personifying renewal, unity and well-being.
The event were attended by the Chairman of the Board of the Center B.Sarsenbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Naib Mufti E.Ongarov, the sacristan of the Assumption Cathedral, Archpriest of the Astana Church District of the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan D.Baydek, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Mary in Nur-Sultan T.Peta, as well as foreign diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia in Kazakhstan.
Speaking with a welcoming speech, Chairman of the Board Bulat Sarsenbayev congratulated the guests on the Nauryz holiday, noting that by uniting representatives of different faiths and ethnic groups on one platform, we will be able to make our contribution to strengthening and promoting the ideas of peace, harmony and solidarity in the Kazakh community: "... the whole history of the Kazakhs is the history of unity, the history of unity. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Message to the People of Kazakhstan noted that our country has crossed an important branch in its historical development – the construction of a new Kazakhstan. The messages voiced in the Message betrayed the spirit of unity to the people of Kazakhstan."
During the exhibition, Chairman of the Board Bulat Sarsenbayev noted that in the near future, together with the Metropolitan Union of Artists, a competition among children on the theme of a child's view of tolerance, peace and harmony will be announced for the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
