Today, the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev and the rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev discussed the prospects of partnership relations within the framework of the working meeting.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet, Bulat Sarsenbayev spoke about the goals of the Center in promoting the international initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev on the spiritual rapprochement of cultures, religions and civilizations, as well as the implementation of the consistent policy of the Head of State K. Tokayev in strengthening interfaith dialogue at the international arena.
Focusing on the importance of popularizing the key ideas of the global platform - the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the Chairman of the Board of the Center N. Nazarbayev informed about the preparations for the 19th meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Ashimbayev this year, for the next VII Congress of Leaders world and traditional religions in 2022, and also shared the plans of the Center for organizing international events in honor of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.
In addition, Bulat Sarsenbayev dwelled on the activities of the Institute for Analysis of the Religious Situation and Religious Expertise, operating on the basis of the Center, whose tasks include monitoring the religious situation in Kazakhstan, conducting scientific and practical religious studies and religious studies.
Noting the importance of the work carried out by the N.Nazarbayev Center, Zhanseit Tuimebayev supported the need to use the high potential of the two organizations in strengthening interfaith dialogue and spiritual harmony, and also confirmed the university's participation in the upcoming international online conference «Good Neighborliness of Cultures in the 21st Century of Central Asian Countries» Center of N. Nazarbayev on May 20 this year.
In general, given the phenomenal breakthrough of the leading national university of Kazakhstan in the global QS World University Rankings, its compliance with a high level in the global scientific and educational space, the parties agreed on further interaction and promotion of interreligious dialogue, as well as the intention to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation on the organization of expert meetings, scientific and practical events (conferences, seminars), exchange of experience in the field of religion, publication of scientific articles by the staff of the Center in the journal «Vestnik KazNU», as well as establishing partnerships with the Center for Islamic Finance on joint research, including and the prospects for the development of the Islamic financial market in Kazakhstan, advanced training of the staff of the N. Nazarbayev Center at the Center for Islamic Finance.
Following the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev invited the rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to take part in the open and the international photo exhibition «Islam and Humanity: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow», which will be held on May 17 this year in the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Recall, in order to establish partnerships and promote the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, Chairman of the Board of the Center N. Nazarbayev Bulat Sarsenbayev from 11 to 17 May this year, within the framework of his working trip to Almaty, holds meetings with the heads of leading higher educational institutions, research and non-governmental organizations, representatives of the largest mass media of Kazakhstan.
