In order to discuss the prospects for cooperation on strengthening interfaith harmony, on May 4 this year, a working meeting was conducted between the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Jeenbek Kulubaev.
Expressing hope for the achievement of mutual agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Bulat Sarsenbayev noted that the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev clearly emphasized that such border problems should be resolved only peacefully, in the spirit of mutual understanding and good neighborliness.
Continuing the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center spoke about the role of the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the preservation and strengthening of international and regional security, shared plans to promote Kazakhstan's international initiatives in the field of interfaith development. The head of the Center informed about the preparations for the XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress in 2021 and the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in 2022, and also introduced the upcoming international events of the Center dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev highly appreciated the peacekeeping activities of Kazakhstan in the international arena, and also emphasized the intention to strengthen further cooperation with the Center in order to support the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and its institutions.
The sides agreed to actively cooperate on the development of interfaith dialogue aimed at strengthening the friendship of peoples and interethnic harmony.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev invited the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to take part in the upcoming international online conference «Neighborliness of cultures in the XXI century of Central Asia», which will be held on May 20 this year within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence, and issues of assistance in organizing bilateral meetings of the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center during his visit to Bishkek from 10 to 12 May this year.
