Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India Nurlan Zhalgasbayev

On April 22 of this year, a working meeting of the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center on development of interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of India Nurlan Zhalgasbayev took place.

During the meeting, the Ambassador was familiarized with the action plan of the Center on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Also, the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center, Bulat Sarsenbayev, spoke about the preparations for the VII Congress of Leaders and World Traditional Religions in 2022 and the organization of the XIX Secretariat of the Congress, which will be held in 2021.

The Chairman of the Center noted the role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in strengthening the intercivilizational dialogue by holding the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. In addition, he focused on the policy of unity of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev, which allowed Kazakhstan to become a global center for the dialogue of religions and civilizations, open to cooperation with the aim of developing interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue.

Bulat Sarsenbayev stressed that peace, friendship and established bilateral diplomatic relations have always been and remain between Kazakhstan and India, which have been strengthening for 29 years.

In turn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Nurlan Zhalgasbayev expressed his readiness to actively assist in promoting the idea of ​​Elbasy, in holding the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, as well as the Secretariat of the Congress.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a memorandum with the President of the «Somaiya Vidyavihar» Organization (India, Mumbai), member of the Council of Religious Leaders Samir Shantilal Somaiya in order to strengthen and develop partnership relations, deepen interaction in the field of intercivilizational and interreligious dialogue between the two countries.
