Representatives of religious associations of Kazakhstan and Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev discussed further ways of cooperation

Today, March 17, the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center B.Sarsenbayev conducted a working meeting with the Deputy Chairman of The Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kazakhstan, Naib Mufti Ershat Ongarov, the head of the Assumption Cathedral in Nur-Sultan, Archpriest Dmitry Baydek, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Mary in Nur-Sultan Tomash Bernard Pata.

The Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center B. Sarsenbayev, while opening the meeting, noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan from the first days of gaining independence, for 30 years, has been pursuing a policy of tolerance in the field of interfaith and inter-civilization dialogue. Speaking about the importance of the Congress of World and Traditional Religions, Bulat Sarsenbayev emphasized the special role of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in the formation and strengthening of this authoritative platform.

During his speech, Bulat Sarsenbayev paid special attention to the verified and consistent policy of the Head of State K. Tokayev, noting the outstanding contribution of the President of the country to the development and formation of «spiritual diplomacy».

In addition, the Chairman of the Board B. Sarsenbayev informed about the plans of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the future. So, according to Bulat Sarsenbayev, the N. Nazarbayev Center, as a working body, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Ashimbaev, as well as the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is actively organizing the next XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress this year, as well as the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held in 2022.

Representatives of religious associations of Kazakhstan, in turn, expressed confidence that the intensification of interfaith dialogue, both in Kazakhstan and beyond, will bring invaluable benefits for all mankind and only together it is possible to solve the challenges and threats that arise in the modern world.

«The main event in the history of the development of interstate relations between the Vatican and Kazakhstan, the visit of the Pope to Kazakhstan at the invitation of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev, turns 20 this year. In this regard, we express our deep hope for holding a joint event with the N. Nazarbayev Center», - said Archbishop Tomasz Bernard Pata.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board Bolat Sarsenbayev invited all participants of the meeting to visit the photo gallery organized by the N. Nazarbayev Center within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.

In the future, it is planned to hold a number of other events dedicated to world and traditional religions.
