Abai’s creative and spiritual legacy holds a special place in the history of the Kazakh people and in world culture. The great poet and thinker saw the future of his nation in education, responsibility, unity and harmony.
His Words of Edification continue to inspire the promotion of a culture of dialogue, mutual respect and harmony - values that form the foundation of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue’s work.
Guided by these principles, Kazakhstan has consistently developed the traditions of interreligious dialogue for more than two decades through the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. This unique international platform has become an important instrument for advancing spiritual diplomacy.
It is through this constructive mission that Abai’s ideas find their contemporary expression. He saw the strength of a nation in education and the pursuit of the common good, and called for unity and harmony.
Today, these values are consistently reflected in the foreign policy of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, aimed at strengthening a culture of peace, promoting dialogue among civilizations and advancing the principle of “unity in diversity.”
This year, we celebrate Abai Day at a time of far-reaching constitutional reforms that have opened a new stage in the development of Kazakhstan’s statehood.
We are confident that the ongoing reforms, grounded in the principles of social harmony, dialogue and mutual responsibility, will lay a strong foundation for building a Just Kazakhstan, where trust, constructive development and unity will shape the future of the state and society.
