On October 30, 2025, as part of the ongoing dialogue, expanded and depended during the VIII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, a meeting was held between the Chair of the Board of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue, Gulsana Kozhabay, and representatives of the Baháʼí International Community.
During the meeting, the parties noted the positive dynamics of cooperation and emphasized the importance of joint efforts in the fields of international partnership, the development of AI, climate initiatives, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The parties agreed on joint initiatives both on the basis of the International Center and within Baháʼí platforms. The discussion covered strategic, organizational, and informational areas of cooperation, including the promotion of the “Astana Peace Declaration 2025,” the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, and joint activities on climate issues and the ethics of AI within the framework of special working groups.
Representatives of the Baháʼí community once again highly commended Kazakhstan’s role as a global center for interreligious dialogue and emphasized its image as a successful platform for promotion of a culture of peace and spiritual diplomacy.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director of the Office of Public Information of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baháʼís of Kazakhstan, Lyazzat Yangaliyeva, extended an invitation to the Chair of the Board of the Center to visit the Baháʼí World Centre in Haifa.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment of both sides to strengthening their partnership and opened new prospects for the practical realization of common objectives of peace, ethics, and sustainable development.
