Following the Online Meeting Between the Acting Chairman of the Center and the Secretary General of the International Organization "Religions for Peace

On May 23, 2025, an online meeting took place between Marat Kalizhanov, Acting Chairman of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue, and Dr. Francis Kuria Kagema, Secretary General of the international interreligious organization "Religions for Peace." In line with a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding, this meeting aimed to put its principles into action.

Both parties reiterated their commitment to fostering bilateral cooperation, aiming to advance interreligious dialogue and cultural-spiritual understanding. Discussions covered specific actions to enhance cooperation, notably reciprocal support for publishing analytical pieces, expert articles, and interviews across prominent global and domestic media platforms.

Dr. Kuria extended his support for Kazakhstan's initiatives in interreligious dialogue, particularly in the context of preparing for the upcoming VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, scheduled for September 2025 in Astana.

The parties committed to a more detailed discussion of potential cooperation areas during the VIII Congress. Moreover, the parties aim to collaborate on events that will strengthen worldwide interconfessional peace and harmony.
