International Center Hosts Meeting with Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran

In Astana on May 15, Marat Kalizhanov, Acting Chairman of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue, held discussions with Sayed Mostafa Hosseini Neishabouri, Head of the International Center for Quranic Studies at the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, the parties discussed advancing interreligious dialogue, developing spiritual diplomacy, and expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Sayed Mostafa Hosseini Neishabouri highly praised Kazakhstan's achievements in interfaith harmony, highlighting the country's experience as a model in global interreligious diplomacy. Furthermore, the Iranian representative toured the "Unity and Accord" exhibition, organized by the International Center, where he familiarized himself with the exposition dedicated to interethnic harmony and spiritual unity in Kazakhstan.

  1. Walikhanovich, during the meeting, underscored Kazakhstan's contributions to global peace and harmony, outlining the main tenets of the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions scheduled for this year.

At the meeting's conclusion, Sayed Mostafa Hosseini Neishabouri expressed a desire for stronger bilateral cooperation with the Center and suggested a Memorandum of Understanding. Both sides then reiterated their dedication to cultivating a productive partnership and reinforcing global interreligious accord.
