Kazan Hosts International Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum"

On May 14, 2025, an online round table discussion, "Developing the Potential for Interaction of Religious Organizations of BRICS Countries in Preserving and Strengthening Traditional Values," was conducted within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KAZANFORUM." The event was organized through a joint effort of the Commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation on Interethnic, Interreligious Relations and Migration and the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan. Marat Kalizhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board, and Bolat Sarsenbayev, Advisor to the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue, addressed the attendees, underscoring the valuable experience from hosting the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. He further elaborated on the core activities of his Center aimed at supporting and advancing global interreligious dialogue.

 

Further to the discussion, representatives from religious organizations and experts from BRICS countries specifically addressed ways to broaden cooperation and share best practices in the sphere of upholding traditional values.
