DISCUSSION OF THE DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT OF THE CONGRESS OF LEADERS OF WORLD AND TRADITIONAL RELIGIONS FOR 2023-2033

On April 10, 2025, the Egyptian Nur-Mubarak University of Islamic Culture in Almaty held a lecture on "The Concept of Development of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033" with the participation of Bauyrzhan Bakirov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize students and the teaching staff with the main ideas of the Congress and the key directions of its development in the coming decade. Baurzhan Bakirov went into details about the role of the Congress in strengthening global peace and harmony, and explained the main provisions of the new concept adopted in 2022. Special attention was paid to promoting the ideas of peace, tolerance and mutual respect, as well as strengthening the role of religious leaders in responding to modern global challenges.

The lecture was of great interest to the students and teachers. The participants asked topical questions about the interaction of religious associations in the context of global transformations and shared their views. At the end of the meeting, it was noted that the Congress plays an important role in strengthening the international authority of Kazakhstan.

The Congress brings together leaders of different religions to one dialogue platform, contributing to the development of peace and interreligious harmony at the global level. The Development Concept of the Congress for 2023-2033 adopted in 2022 defines the priority directions of its activities for the next decade.
