On May 7-8, 2024, advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev took part in the XV Doha Conference for Interfaith Dialogue titled: «Family Structure in Light of Changing World: Religious Perspective. Integration of families, faith, values, and education», which was organized under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The conference discussed the search for scientific methods of studying the institution of the family, as well as the development of partnerships between organizations aimed at strengthening the family structure.
The concluding statement issued by the conference today, read by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) HE Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Naimi, stressed that preserving the family system can only be achieved by making religious teachings and values a guide for family life, elevating the importance of virtuous values and ethics, highlighting their role and impact in directing human behavior and maximizing family cohesion.
The document assigns a key role to the field of education as the main factor in the healthy upbringing of future generations, as well as to the media in order to strengthen social responsibility, raise awareness among society by spreading important messages about the importance of integrating family values, faith and education in order to preserve the institution of the family.
At the same time, on the sidelines of the conference, bilateral meetings were held between the advisor to the Chairman of the Center with the Chairman of the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Naimi, Secretary General of the Al-Azhar Academy of Islamic Studies Nazir Mohammed Al-Nazir Ayad, U.S. Ambassador at Large Office of International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussein, with Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin and others on the promotion of global interfaith dialogue and assistance in the implementation of the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
