Meeting of the Acting Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee Anuar Khatiev with the Associate Director for the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at Brigham Young University Professor Elizabeth Clark

On April 29, the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue hosted a meeting between the Acting Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee Anuar Khatiev and Professor Elizabeth Clark of the International Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Brigham Young University.

During the meeting, A. Khatiev noted that Kazakhstan and the United States continue to build trusting relations within the framework of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation, in particular, on issues of ensuring human rights to freedom of religion.

In addition, there was a fruitful discussion on issues of ensuring freedom of religion in Kazakhstan, as well as an exchange of experience on the implementation of national indicators for assessing compliance with freedom of belief and religion.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their intentions to further establish close and mutually beneficial relations.
