On December 14, Chairman of the Board of N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue B.Sarsenbayev met with Chairman of the Kyrgyz ethno-cultural community center in Kazakhstan Sh.Ismailov.
During the meeting, B.Sarsenbayev spoke about the key provisions of the "Concept for the Development of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033", developed on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. It was emphasized that the document implies deepening cooperation of the Congress with UN institutions and other reputable international structures, expanding the range of partners and geography.
In turn, Sh.Ismailov highly appreciated the Kazakh model of interethnic and interfaith harmony, which finds great support from other countries. He also stressed that Astana is becoming a center, a bridge for strengthening friendship between peoples.
During the bilateral meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation in the field of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
