On December 4, 2023 Chairman of the Management Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-Civilization Dialogue (hereinafter referred to as “The Center”) Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Chief for Islam of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue Mons. Khaled Akasheh.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of goals to promote further the Concept of the Development of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033.
As part of the realization of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2020 between the Center and the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue of the Holy See, it is planned to hold a joint event in April 2024 in the Vatican City.
In turn, Monsignor Khaled Akashe expressed his gratitude the Center for the warm welcome and noted that the Vatican will provide support in promoting the ideas of the Congress and its final document – the Declaration signed by the spiritual leaders of world and traditional religions, politicians, heads of international organizations.
