On November 2, 2023, the Palace of peace and accord hosted a round table on the topic "Religious freedom and civil responsibility - partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States" with the participation of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, LYN Community and N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue.
The round table was attended by Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs E.Nukezhanov, Chairman of the Board of N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue B.Sarsenbayev, Director of international cooperation of Caspian University Yulya Kharkova, as well as representatives of international organizations and heads of religious associations of Kazakhstan.
The participants touched upon such topics of our time as intercultural religious literacy and social unity, as well as religious freedom in the context of women's rights and human dignity.
The participants also highly appreciated Kazakhstan's efforts to promote inter-civilizational and interreligious dialogue, support cultural diversity and expressed their intention to develop interrelated approaches to discussing topical issues and further develop international cooperation.
