April 26, 2023 as part of the working trip of the Chairman of the Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-Civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev to the Republic of Turkey (Istanbul) a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ahmed Ben Mohammed Al-Jarwan.
During the meeting, the results of the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which was one of the main international events of the past year, where Kazakhstan demonstrated to the world its commitment to the ideas of tolerance, openness, mutual respect and trust between the State and society.
The Chairman of the Board stressed that in order to further promote the ideas of the VII Congress and its Declaration, the Center regularly participates in the work of world and authoritative dialogue platforms in the field of interfaith and interreligious relations, such as: Bahrain Dialogue Forum “East and West for Human Coexistence” (Bahrain), “Religion and Hate Language, Scriptures and Practices” (Qatar) and others.
It was noted that today the Center of N.Nazarbayev started preparations for the anniversary XXI Session of the Secretariat of the Congress, which will be held in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 10-11.
The parties agreed on further cooperation on the development of intercultural cooperation between the organizations.
