During the meeting, the two exchanged views on the most pressing issues of regional and international agenda, as well as the prospects for closer cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the OIC activities as an inclusive platform to promote cooperation in the political, socio-economic, environmental and humanitarian dimensions.
President Tokayev welcomed the development of interaction with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and reaffirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Muslim countries within the OIC.
At the end of the conversation, the President invited Hissein Brahim Taha to take part in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. This forum will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan in the coming September.
