Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly

On April 26, 2022 Chairman of the Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly.

During the meeting, B. Sarsenbayev, as the Commissioner for the promotion of the goals and objectives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, informed about the work of the Center for the organization and preparation of the VII Congress and noted the special role of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan in promoting Kazakhstan's model of interfaith and interethnic harmony.

The parties discussed issues related of the document «On Human brotherhood and peaceful coexistence» signed between by the Holy See and Al-Azhar in 2019, implementation of joint events on the eve of the VII Congress, in particular, the meeting of the Club of Leaders of Religious Associations in the South Kazakhstan region, the organization of cultural tours of the mausoleum-complex of K.A. Yassavi, mausoleum of Gaukhar Ana, Mausoleum of Arystan-Bab and other sacred places representing the historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.

B.Sarsenbayev also invited Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly to be a part on the international online conference «The role of religious leaders in achieving sustainable development of the world», which will be held in may this year, with the participation of international experts, members of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Great Britain, Iran, Turkey, the Vatican, India, Pakistan, Brazil.

In turn, the Supreme Mufti thanked the Chairman of the Board of the Center for the invitation to the conference and assured that all necessary efforts will be made by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan in conducting joint events with the Center to promote the ideas of the Congress.
