On November 30, 2021, in Riyadh, an online round table was held on the topic: «30 years of Independence of Kazakhstan and the historical role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the formation of a modern state».
The round table was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the KSA B. Aryn, Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue B. Sarsenbayev, Head of the Center for Information and Arab-Russian Studies Majed Abdulaziz Al-Turki, former Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Kazakhstan Da hier Mavritansky Alenazi, Deputy Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy T. Shaymergenov, Professor of Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov S. Toleubayeva, Director of the Research Department of Center for Research and Knowledge in Interaction (CRIK) Ed Al Rubayi and other well-known Kazakhstani and international experts, representatives of the scientific and expert community, public figures.
In his speech, Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center B. Sarsenbayev emphasized the importance of holding the event on the eve of the celebration of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Independence Day of the country. It was noted that modern Kazakhstan is a competitive, dynamically developing state, looking to the future. «The axiom of Kazakhstani success, undoubtedly, is its founder – the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev. The country has come a long way. The road was full of challenges and major achievements. Kazakhstan with honor overcame an incredibly difficult threshold and found its own approach, which made us a united and strong modern nation. I would like to note that interethnic and interfaith harmony is a key component of social and political stability and, at the same time, one of the leading values of Kazakhstan. The unique experience of our country in maintaining interfaith harmony and religious tolerance has proven to be in demand on a global scale. In this regard, one of the significant achievements of Kazakhstan is the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which is held in Nur-Sultan every three years», - B. Sarsenbayev said.
In addition, Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center acquainted the participants of the round table with the priority areas of activity, goals and objectives of N. Nazarbayev Center, spoke about the preparations for the upcoming VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September 14-15, 2022 in Nur- Sultane.
As a result of the round table, the participants of the event came to a common opinion that it is important for the entire world community to unite the efforts of societies and states to develop interreligious dialogue in order to strengthen universal human spiritual values.
