On October 21 this year, Chairman of the Management Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Kazakhstan Jorge Urbiola Lopez de Montenegro.
The Chairman of the Management Board of the Center N. Nazarbayev acquainted Mr. Jorge Urbiola Lopez de Montenegro with the priority areas of activity, goals and objectives of the Center, shared plans for holding international events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and also spoke about the preparations for the upcoming VII Congress leaders of world and traditional religions, which will be held on September 14-15, 2022 in Nur-Sultan city.
Bulat Sarsenbayev also informed the Ambassador about the upcoming 8 international round tables, implemented by the end of the year, by the Center N. Nazarbayev together with the diplomatic missions of Kazakhstan abroad with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in such countries as: Armenia, Hungary, Germany, Iran, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Turkey.
In turn, the Ambassador of Spain expressed gratitude for the personal meeting, as well as his readiness to support joint projects on interfaith development, promotion at the international level of the initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev to preserve and ensure interreligious harmony.
At the end of the meeting, an excursion to the Museum of Peace and Accord of the Center N. Nazarbayev was organized for the Ambassador.
