Today, on August 11, Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev and Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Abil signed a Memoranda of mutual cooperation.
The memorandum aims to maintain close cooperation in the development and implementation of joint research, information-analytical and educational activities for the implementation of state policy in the sphere of religion.
The sides intend to exchange experience, research materials, including the development of joint special courses, modules, scientific guidance on master's and doctoral dissertations, to promote the formation of a bank of research topics for students of the Academy.
In addition, the Memoranda provides organization of joint round tables, conferences, and other events of mutual interest. It is planned to organize training seminars for students of the Academy, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassies of the Republic of Kazakhstan abroad to promote Elbasy's international initiatives in the field of spiritual diplomacy, popularize the ideas and decisions of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
One of the main promising areas of interaction is the systematic conduct of training seminars and trainings for employees of government agencies and institutions, as well as members of awareness-raising groups in the field of religions.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center Bulat Sarsenbayev noted that since its foundation, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has made a significant contribution to the professional development of the state apparatus of sovereign Kazakhstan.
«We highly appreciate the partnership established between the Center and the Academy, as we are united by common goals and interests. I am sure that the joint activities provided for in the Memoranda, scientific research, organization of internships for students of the Academy on the basis of the Center, refresher courses for workers in the sphere of religions, provision of mutual consultative work will bring results in promoting common tasks for the implementation of state policy in the sphere of religions», - said Bulat Sarsenbayev.
At the same time, the Head of the Center informed the Rector of the Academy about the active preparatory work for the XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and the Working Group, which will be held on October 5-6 of this year, chaired by the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions M. Ashimbayev.
In turn, the Rector of the Academy Yerlan Abil emphasized the role of N.Nazarbayev Center in promoting at the international level the initiatives of the First
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and the President of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev in ensuring interfaith harmony.
Following the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center invited the Rector of the Academy to take part in a series of round tables on the eve of the XIX Secretariat of the Congress on issues of interfaith dialogue, which will be organized by the Center jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of 13 diplomatic missions abroad.
