In order to establish partnerships and promote the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, on May 18 this year, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization Dialogue and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture «Nur-Mubarak».
Considering the international authority of the university, as well as its purposeful integration into the global community of the world's leading research universities, the parties agreed on further interaction and promotion of interreligious dialogue in the state and international arena.
Taking into account the general areas of work and priorities in the implementation of projects, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev and the rector of «Nur-Mubarak» University Muhammad al-Shakhat al-Jindi signed a corresponding memorandum of cooperation, which provides for the exchange of information, professional experience and accumulated research materials, organizing meetings and scientific events on issues in the field of religion, conducting training seminars to improve the qualifications of specialists, carrying out information and explanatory work in order to prevent and prevent the spread of destructive religious movements.
At the end of the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev expressed confidence that this document would strengthen the intention of the parties in fruitful interaction to promote an effective strategy of peace and harmony, the values of the dialogue of religions and cultures, which are of mutual significant interest for N. Nazarbayev Center and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture «Nur- Mubarak».
Earlier on May 11, within the framework of a working visit to Almaty, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the rector of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture «Nur-Mubarak» Muhammad ash-Shakhat al-Jindi, where a decision was made to strengthen partnerships.
