On April 12 this year, Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Inter-Civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev, held a working meeting with Maya Bekbayeva, the General Director of the international satellite channel «Qazaq TV».
During the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev, Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center, told about the main activities of the Center, as well as highlighted the planned activities of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan.
At the same time Bulat Sarsenbayev informed the interlocutor about the upcoming XIX session of the Secretariat of the Congress in 2021 under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan - Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions M. Ashimbayev, Ministry of Information and Public Development of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bulat Sarsenbayev emphasized the role of the Head of State K. Tokayev in promoting «spiritual diplomacy» in the international arena, and also noted that as part of the President's policy of «hearing state», the Center is open to dialogue with the media and is currently active in information and image work to popularize the initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy to maintain and ensure interfaith and inter-civilization dialogue, the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, strengthening the positive role of the leaders of the world and traditional religions.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center expressed the hope that «Qazaq.TV», as the only channel in the Republic of Kazakhstan broadcasting in English, would offer additional opportunities to spread information around the world.
In turn, Maya Bekbayeva, shortly stopped on the concept of the channel, and also expressed his readiness in the information support of the activities of the Center, organizing an interview with the execution of the Congress of World and Traditional Religions, leading world-wide religious leaders.
It should be noted that at present the N. Nazarbayev Center, in order to establish partnerships and propaganda of the ideas of the Congress, holds meetings with leading higher educational institutions of the country, research organizations, representatives of the country's largest media.
