On August 26, 2020, Vice Minister of Information and Social Development Marat Azilkhanov met with the director and staff of the Institute for Analysis of Religious Situation and Religious Expertise under the NJSC "N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue" Y.K. Baibol.
The meeting discussed the state and directions of awareness-raising work in the religious sphere, analysis of the current situation, and prospects for the development of religious education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as ways to improve religious expert examination.
Yerzhan Baibol informed about the Institute's further plans to develop methodological recommendations on the organization and conduct of monitoring of the religious situation for local execurtive bodies in the field of religion, and to create an Interactive map of conclusions of religious expert examinations.
Recall that the Institute was established on May 26, 2020 under the NJSC “N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue” .The main objectives of the Institute are to provide comprehensive religious expert examination, study and analyze religious situation, and conduct qualitative research in the field of religion.
At present, the Institute has been fully established, staffed with competent qualified personnel with academic and scientific degrees.
Following the meeting, M. Azilkhanov noted the importance of implementing the projects of the Institute and set a number of specific tasks.
