On March 6, 2026, the International Center and the Holy See’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue held an online preparatory meeting for the Second Joint Colloquium. The meeting was led by Gulsana Kozhabay, Chair of the International Center’s Board, and Fr. Laurent Bassanese, Head of the Dicastery’s Department for Relations with Muslims. The discussions featured active engagement from members of both institutions.
The meeting focused on the conceptual and logistical framework of the II Joint Colloquium. Participants discussed key thematic areas for the event, as well as practical arrangements for the session scheduled to take place later this year in Astana.
Both parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing a productive and enduring partnership, driven by a shared commitment to promoting peace, mutual understanding, and global responsibility.
