Today, September 13 of this year, a working meeting was held between the Commissioner for Promotion of the Goals and Tasks of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, Chairman of the Management Board of N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev with the dean of the Assumption Cathedral in Nur-Sultan, Archpriest Dmitriy Baydek.
Welcoming the guest, Bulat Sarsenbayev informed the interlocutor about the preparatory work for the meetings of the XIX Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and its Working Group.
In addition, the Commissioner for the Promotion of the Goals and Objectives of the Congress B. Sarsenbayev conveyed to Archpriest Dmitriy Baydek an official invitation to participate in the upcoming, October 5-6 this year in Nur-Sultan, XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress to the Head of the Metropolitan District of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Alexander. «I hope to see you as participants and honorary guests of the XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will make an invaluable contribution to the work of the meeting and significantly enrich its content», - said B. Sarsenbayev.
In turn, the dean of the Assumption Cathedral in Nur-Sultan, Archpriest Dmitriy Baydek, thanked for an invitation and emphasized the special contribution of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and Head of State K. Tokayev in ensuring peaceful coexistence in a multinational country and strengthening multilateral action aimed at finding meaningful solutions for peace.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Center N. Nazarbayev also invited representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church to take part in a series of round tables, which are organized in the framework of joint work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of 13 diplomatic missions abroad on the eve of the XIX meetings of the Secretariat of the Congress and following its results.
