On February 18, 2026, the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue held an expanded working meeting chaired by Gulsana Kozhabay.
The meeting was organized to review the Center’s current activities, assess its integration into the national development agenda, and define medium- and long-term strategic priorities. A key item on the agenda was the consideration of the outcomes and decisions of the meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held on February 17, 2026, under the chairmanship of Aida Balayeva, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information.
According to the results of the performance evaluation (KPI), the International Center demonstrated steady positive progress in 2025, ranking second among civil society institutions with an efficiency rate of 88.4 percent.
In her address, the Chair of the Board noted that the achieved results were the outcome of consistent efforts aimed at improving organizational and operational processes. She expressed gratitude to the staff for their professionalism, commitment, and contribution to the implementation of state policy in the field of interreligious harmony. Within the framework of the country’s ongoing socio-political modernization, particular attention was paid to preparations for the upcoming national referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for March 15, 2026.
In accordance with the directives issued at the Collegium meeting, digital transformation and technological modernization were identified as priority areas of activity. Heads of departments were tasked with developing proposals for integrating artificial intelligence technologies into the Center’s operations. Special attention was also given to the initiative to establish an E-Museum. In addition, topical issues related to state policy in the field of religion were discussed.
In conclusion, it was emphasized that, as constitutional reforms progress, the Center remains committed to promoting social stability, interfaith harmony, and fostering the spiritual unity of the people of Kazakhstan.
