Participation of Brazil in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions

Nur-Sultan, September 15, 2022 – The President of the Brazilian Planetary Union, Isis Maria Borges de Resende, made a presentation at the session of the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions on the topic: «The contribution of women to the well-being and sustainable development of modern society and the role of religious communities in supporting social status of women».

During her speech, the President of the Planetary Union of Brazil first thanked the organizers for the official invitation and noted that holding the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the capital of Kazakhstan strengthens mutual understanding and respect between all religious communities and ensures peace and harmony on our planet. Moreover, Isis Maria also emphasized that in the progressive modern world, a woman plays an important role in the development of the social, political and economic spheres of different states of the world.

For reference: On September 14-15, 2022, Nur-Sultan hosted the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions with the participation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Pope Francis. The main theme of the VII Congress is "The role of the leaders of world and traditional religions in the spiritual and social development of mankind in the post-pandemic period." About 100 delegations take part in the congress.
