October 7 this year in room 220 of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU hosted a guest lecture by Meiram Kikimbaev, an Analyst-Manager of the Department of Religious Studies of the «N. Nazarbayev center for development of interfaith and inter-civilization dialogue» NP JSC.
The theme of the lecture is "History and development of Islamic places of worship in the Republic of Kazakhstan." During the lecture, quantitative data and dynamics of the growth of mosques over the years of independence were presented, the stages and specifics of the formation of Kazakhstani mosques as public spaces, as well as the features of the processes of participation of the state, religious institutions and various communities in this direction, were considered.
Teachers and doctoral students of the Department of Philosophy took part in the guest lecture.
