On August 29 2022, a briefing was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Abu Dhabi for representatives of the UAE media and local experts.
The main purpose of the event is to discuss the issues of the Seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September 14-15 in Nur-Sultan.
At the beginning of his speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UAE M.Menilbekov noted that August 29 is the International Day of Action against Nuclear Tests and informed the participants about Kazakhstan's anti-nuclear initiatives.
In addition, in honor of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the participants were provided with detailed information about the Main Law of Kazakhstan.
Ambassador M.Menilbekov stressed the relevance of the topic of the Congress "The role of leaders of world and traditional religions in the spiritual and social development of mankind in the post-pandemic period", as well as its focus on promoting dialogue between religions, cultures, and civilizations and noted that the Congress is one of the most important international events held in Kazakhstan in 2022.
The briefing participants were informed that about 100 delegations from 60 countries will take part in the Congress, including representatives of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, as well as the Supreme Imam of Al-Azhar Ahmad al-Tayeb, Pope Francis and other religious leaders and representatives of international organizations.
Following the briefing, the participants exchanged views on the issues of the Congress and wished the event a success.
