The Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev participated at the popular TV show «Insight with Pastor Torp»

Today, on April 29, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev participated at the author's television program of the Norwegian pastor, Head of the Christian Council of Norway Jan-Aage Torp «Insight with Pastor Torp».

The main topic of the TV show is devoted to religious tolerance and freedom in Kazakhstan, which consists of several interviews with guests, which were also Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Norway Erkin Akhinzhanov, representatives of religious associations of Kazakhstan.

Showing sincere gratitude for the high honor and the opportunity to share opinions and experience in the development of interreligious dialogue in Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev outlined the key goals and objectives of the Center in the implementation of the international initiatives of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in the spiritual convergence of cultures and civilizations, as well as the consistent policy of the President of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev in promoting Kazakhstan in the international arena as a global center for the dialogue of religions and civilizations.

Continuing the conversation, Bulat Sarsenbayev dwelled on the ideas and achievements of the global platform for interreligious dialogue – the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, recognized as an effective architectural instrument of spiritual harmony in maintaining stability between religions around the world.

In addition, the Head of the Center focused the attention of the TV show author on the Kazakh model of interfaith and interreligious harmony and tolerance, which is based on legislative and institutional provision of freedom of conscience and religion.

At the end of the interview, Bulat Sarsenbayev informed about state measures to promote the principle of secularism among the population of the country in the framework of educational programs of educational institutions and information policy of Kazakhstan to ensure neutral coverage of issues of religion and state-confessional relations.

The release of the TV program is scheduled for May this year and will be broadcast on the first satellite Scandinavian Christian TV channel «Visjon Norge» not only in Norway, but also in some Nordic countries.

Recall that during joint participation in the 31st session of the International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs «Dialogue of Religions and Cultures» in Cairo, Norwegian pastor Jan-Aage Torp showed great interest in Kazakhstan and invited Bulat Sarsenbayev to participate at his famous TV show «Insight with Pastor Torp».
