N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue and Sharjah University (UAE) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Guided by mutual interest in promoting international initiatives in the field of interfaith and intercultural development, popularizing the value potential of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the principles of mutual respect, tolerance and interreligious harmony, Vice President for Society of Sharjah University - Salah Tahir Mohamed Sharif Al Haj and Chairman The Board of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue - Altay Abibullayev signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on December 10, 2020.


The purpose of the Memorandum is the implementation of interaction in the field of intercivilizational and interfaith dialogue and accord, cooperation in the field of educational programs and projects, exchange of information and experience on issues related to educational policy, ensuring religious security and interfaith relations.


Recognizing the role of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue as the central coordinating body - the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, and also taking into account the experience of Sharjah University in improving educational policy in the region, the parties intend to promote the development of mutual understanding on the historical significance of the Congress of Leaders world and traditional religions as a unique global interreligious dialogue platform, promote cooperation in joint research, development, preparation of analytical materials, as well as the organization of joint socio-political and educational events (conferences, forums, seminars, symposia, round tables and other industry events ).
