Memorandum of cooperation between the N.Nazarbayev Center and IRCICA was signed in Istanbul

On 14 July, 2022, the Chairman of the Managing Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev visited Istanbul (Turkey), during his working visit B. Sarsenbayev met with Deputy Director General of the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture — IRCICA Abubakar Abdullah Senghor.

The Commissioner for the Promotion of the goals and objectives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Bulat Sarsenbayev informed the Center’s work for organizing and preparing for the XX meeting of the Congress Secretariat and the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

In addition, the Chairman of the Board of the Center expressed gratitude to the leadership of IRCICA for the constant support of Kazakhstan's initiative to promote intercivilizational and intercultural dialogue.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the N.Nazarbayev Center and the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture — IRCICA.

The purpose of signing the Memorandum is to implement mutual cooperation in the field of development and implementation of joint research and information activities in the field of culture, art, as well as intercivilizational and intercultural dialogue.

The document provides for the parties to exchange information, experience and accumulated research materials in the field of religions, carry out joint information and explanatory work to improve the quality of religious knowledge, implement image projects, organize meetings, forums and conferences of mutual interest.

The parties noted that the conclusion of this Memorandum will give impetus to the joint implementation of the mission to bring cultures, religions and civilizations closer together at the international level.

Also, as part of the working trip to Istanbul, Bulat Sarsenbayev presented an invitation to participate in the VII Congress to the international correspondent of the Istanbul bureau of CNN TV channel Jomana Karadsheh on behalf of the Head of the Secretariat of the Congress – Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.
