On June 3 this year in Uralsk, the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue jointly with the Department for Religious Affairs of the West Kazakhstan region held a meeting of the regional club of leaders of religious associations, dedicated to the upcoming VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held in September this year.

Speaking to the participants of the meeting, D.Yesenova stressed the importance of the upcoming VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which today has demonstrated its relevance due to the escalation of modern challenges.
Also, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Center informed about the preparations for the Congress and noted that the Congress will be one of the main international events of the year, in which Kazakhstan will demonstrate to the world its commitment to the ideas of tolerance, openness, mutual respect and trust between the state and society.
During the event, a constructive exchange of views took place, issues of interreligious and intercultural dialogue for the sustainable development of the world and consolidation of efforts to strengthen cooperation between religions and confessions were discussed.
In order to popularize the diversity of sacred places in Kazakhstan, a tour of religious objects of the region was organized for the participants of the club meeting: the Orthodox Church "The Parish of the Cathedral of Archangel Michael of the Ural Diocese", the Orthodox Church "The Parish of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior of the Ural Diocese", the mosque "Tulbayev Mohammed–Garif meshiti" (Tatar Mosque, old Kyzyl Meshit), as well as "Roman Catholic, Atyrau Apostolic Administration for Latin Rite Catholics of Western Kazakhstan".
