On April 5, 2022, Bulat Sarsenbayev, Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue, met with Marco Alberti, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, B. Sarsenbayev, as the Commissioner for promoting the goals and objectives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, informed about the work of the Center for organizing and preparing for the XX meeting of the Congress Secretariat and the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and stressed the importance of the participation of the Italian side in upcoming events.
Ambassador M. Alberti thanked B. Sarsenbayev for the warm welcome and noted that this year, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Italy, the Embassy plans to organize thirty different events. The Italian diplomat also announced a proposal to organize an event jointly with the Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational dialogue on the basis of the Palace of Peace and Accord.
Bulat Sarsenbayev thanked the Italian side for supporting initiative of the Center for the Development of interreligious dialogue at the global level and stressed the special attention of the leadership of Kazakhstan to work in this direction.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Marco Alberti assured that the Italian Embassy will make all necessary efforts to maintain cooperation between countries on the promotion of intercultural dialogue
