June 17 this year, guided by mutual interest in popularizing the value potential of world and traditional religions with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Sultanate of Oman, Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev and editor-in-chief of the online newspaper "Asdaa Oman" Ali Al-Hasani signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The purpose of the memorandum is partnership in providing information support for events held by the Center on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad, aimed at promoting the unique Kazakhstani model of interfaith harmony and peace.
Both sides recognize that the fundamental condition for achieving national success is peace, harmony, friendship, tolerance of representatives of different cultures and religions.
Emphasizing the importance of the conclusion of this memorandum on the eve of the 19th Secretariat of the Congress this year and the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in 2022, Bulat Sarsenbayev paid key attention to the need to ensure the wide dissemination of the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, information on promoting interfaith and inter-civilizational dialogue among the world community.
For his part, the editor-in-chief of the online newspaper "Asdaa Oman" noted the high mission of the N. Nazarbayev Center in the development of interfaith and inter-civilizational dialogue, as well as the role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and the Head of State K. Tokayev in strengthening international security and stability.
The parties also agreed to assist in the implementation of joint promising information projects aimed at achieving interreligious harmony, the exchange of information, the organization of expert interviews, as well as the development of mutual understanding between religious associations on the historical significance of the global platform for intercivilizational and interfaith dialogue - the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
