Today, 22 of May on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repressions, Chairman of the Board B. Sarsenbayev visited Volynskaya Sopka, where a cross was erected in memory of the victims of those years, with an inscription in Kazakh, Russian, Polish and German languages – «To God - Honor. To Men - Peace. To Martyrs – the Kingdom of Heaven. To people of Kazakhstan – Gratitude. To Kazakhstan - Prosperity».
Bulat Sarsenbayev paid tribute to the memory of the victims of political repression, noting that our country has always been and remains a hospitable nation, ready to lend a helping hand to those in need of help, and expressed gratitude to the initiators of the construction of this monument.
At the same time, for the purpose of cooperation with religious associations on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bulat Sarsenbayev visited by the invitation of Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of St. Mary in Astana Tomash Peta the altar «Star of Kazakhstan», installed in the parish «Queen of Peace», which is rightfully added to the list of sacred places of the North Kazakhstan region.
The altar is made in the original technique using gold and titanium, symbolizing one of the twelve stars in the crown of the Queen of the World. On October 10, 2012, the altar was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI. Along with traditional Christian motifs (the image of Jesus Christ and the cross), kazakh national ornament was used in its design. The altar was created by the Polish master Mariusz Drapikovski as part of a cycle of 12 altars, the first of which stands on the Way of the Cross in Jerusalem, and the rest are installed in Catholic shrines around the world.
