Kanat Iskakov was born in 1982 in Shymkent.
He graduated from the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov.
He began his career in 2005 as a leading specialist of the State Fund for the Development of Youth Policy.
In 2006-2009 - acting chief specialist; Chief Specialist; expert of the Department of Social and Political Work of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From February to November 2009, he was an assistant to the deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2009-2011 - Consultant to the Secretariat of the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2011-2012 - expert; Consultant of the Center for Strategic Development and Analysis of the AP RK
From May 2012 to July 2021 - head of the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On July 9, 2021, by order of the Minister of Information and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Iskakov Kanat Zhumabaevich was appointed to the post of Chairman of the Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
