1978 graduated with honors from the Faculty of History of the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov.
From September 1981 to 1984 he studied at the graduate school of the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov, in February 1984 he successfully defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of historical sciences. In 1999 he defended his doctoral dissertation.
In July 1996, he was appointed a consultant to the civil service and personnel department of the Government Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From June 1997 to April 2004, as a rector, he stood at the origins of the formation of the Shakarim Semipalatinsk State University.
In connection with the separation of the pedagogical institute from the university, in April 2004 Ye.B. Sydykov was appointed rector of the Semipalatinsk State Pedagogical Institute.
In July 2008 E. B. Sydykov was again appointed rector of the Shakarim Semipalatinsk State University.
July 26, 2011 by the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Sydykov was appointed rector of the L.N. Gumilyov.
Author of over 200 scientific and methodological articles, 4 textbooks, more than 20 monographs.
Elected to the Board of Directors of the Center from June 21, 2019 in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 178 as a representative of the shareholder.
