Today, within the walls of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, the Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Inter-civilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Rector of the university Yerlan Sydykov.
Within the framework of the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev told about the key goals and objectives of the N. Nazarbayev Center in promoting the international initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev on the spiritual rapprochement of cultures and civilizations, the importance of popularizing the key ideas outlined in the framework of the Congresses of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions at the republican and international level.
«Currently, the N. Nazarbayev Center has intensified comprehensive work to develop cooperation with the scientific and expert community of Kazakhstan and abroad, religious leaders, politicians, heads of authoritative international institutions and organizations, youth associations on interaction in the field of religion, the implementation of joint projects and events aimed at strengthening interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue.
In addition, the Center holds international events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including thematic international conferences, photo exhibitions dedicated to world and traditional religions.
We are actively preparing at the current year to the XIX session of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions chaired by the Chairman Senate of Kazakhstan M. Ashimbaev, Ministry of Information and Social Development of Kazakhstan and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, as well as for a regular VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional religions in 2022 with the participation of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and the Head of State K. Tokayev», - emphasized Bulat Sarsenbayev.
Given the international authority of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, created on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its purposeful integration into the global community of the world's leading research universities, as well as taking into account the general areas of work and priorities in the implementation of projects and implementation of events.
The sides agreed on further interaction and promotion of interreligious dialogue, as well as the intention to sign an appropriate memorandum of cooperation in the field of opening dialogue platforms and discussion platforms, organizing guest lectures, expert meetings with the participation of religious leaders, prominent statesmen, scientists and representatives of the N. Nazarbayev Center, internship on the basis of the Center for university students studying in the specialty of religious studies, participation of volunteers of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov in the events held by the Center, preparation of joint publications, analytical materials, exchange of best practices and knowledge in areas of mutual interest.
